Today, we are one of the largest farms in the Republic of Moldova, with a population of approximately 5000 animals. Our beginnings were marked by learning through trial and error, often having limited access to complete and accurate information. However, this experience has provided us with valuable and unique know-how in the field. On our website, we aim to answer questions related to chinchilla breeding, whether as farm animals or pets, by offering detailed guides and advice.

It involves specialized methods that differ from the technologies used for other types of fur. In the Republic of Moldova, there are few options for quality processing of this type of fur, and this infrastructure gap motivated us to develop our own processing method, in partnership with Wanger Hungarian FUR LTD, to ensure that our furs meet international standards of excellence.
o ensure an optimal diet for our chinchillas, Wanger & Co SRL has developed a strategic partnership with Bonafarm-Babolna Takarmány Kft, a renowned leader in animal nutrition from Hungary. Together, we have designed a specialized, nutritionally balanced feed tailored to the specific physiological requirements of chinchillas, further solidifying our role as the official representative of Bonafarm-Babolna Takarmány Kft in the Republic of Moldova.
To maintain consistent quality standards, we have integrated a small feed mill into our processes, allowing us to produce pressed hay and alfalfa pellets and extrude grains internally. This in-house production capability ensures superior consistency and optimal results for the health and well-being of the chinchillas at Wanger & Co farm.
In addition to the feed, we also distribute treated sand for chinchilla baths, produced by Wanger KFT in Hungary. This sand contains six antifungal substances that effectively prevent skin diseases in chinchillas – conditions that are difficult to treat, highly contagious, and have long-lasting effects on the fur.
The experience we have gained allows us to offer customized solutions for chinchilla cages and accessories, manufactured in our own metalworking workshop. We produce custom-made cages, feeders, bath boxes, trays, shelves, and cage securing systems, tailored to the specific needs of each requirement.
At Wanger & Co, we not only care about the well-being of the animals but also want to share our passion for chinchillas with future generations. By involving children in farm activities, we provide them with the opportunity to learn about responsibility, empathy, and the importance of caring for animals.
